Happy Birthday Tina (August 1st)!

Happy 21st, I mean 31st Birthday girl! I won't rag you too much b/c I know how upset I was about turning 30! 31 can't be bad! Hope you have a great one! Sounds like Jamie just may have something up his sleeve...you can't ever tell, he just might surprise you! Oh...you got lucky b/c the only pics I had of you were at my Stock the Bar Party and YOU weren't looking in any of them...LOL! I had forgotten that you were pregnant with Bowen then! Happy Birthday Girl!

Happy Birthday Vicky (Saturday, August 2nd)!

Just wanted to wish a special person a VERY "Happy Birthday" on Saturday, August 2nd! You've all read mine and Shelley's blogs on Steve. Well, Vicky is Steve's wife. She is such a wonderful person who I think the world of and always will. Vicky works here at Resinall with Shelley and I, she's been like a mother to me since the day I met her. She took me right in and boy have I opened right up since that May day that I was hired in the year 2000 at Resinall...LOL! I hope you have a great one and have many more to come! Have a wonderful weekend at the beach and enjoy your much, well deserved "get away"! Luv ya bunches!!!!!

Ava, Vicky, Me, and Shelley at our Christmas get together (Sorry guys...I didn't have too many pics to pick from...if our beach pics from 2004 were only digital....they would have been some good one's...LOL)!

Kevin's Crazy T-shirts

Many of you who are wives may not like these t-shirts that my hubby has BUT I think that they are rather comical and if any of you know Kevin, you know he has a BIG sense of humor! Believe me, if I didn't approve Kevin wouldn't have bought them! He drug the green one out last night, he actually bought that one less than a year after we got married at Nags Head (he had forgotten that he had it). We laughed forever about it and then it made me think of the orange one that he has (be sure to read the fine print) and I thought...hmmm....this would be a good blog post! And before you even read these and form an opinion, Kevin and I are happily married for almost 3 years now! And yes even though he can be quite the "jokester" he does have a serious side to him. So here they are...

Kevin ended up having to work AGAIN so he didn't make it:-( Brandi and I have been best of friends since Middle School. We did some boat riding, some jet skiing, and some tubing (I am EXTREMELY sore from the tubing b/c I was holding on so tight...guess I'm not as young as I used to be huh...LOL)! A BIG THANKS to Miss Diddle, Bubba, and Brandi for a great weekend! We can't wait to go back:-)

TGIF!!!!

Nothing really interesting to blog about today! I am so very glad that it is Friday! It's been a LONG week! I started the week off with ANOTHER round of antibiotics for the kidney infection that I came down with last week, this time double the dosage for 10 days! I also had my 6 month dental check-up! Things were busy at work this week, I was in my department all by myself! My coworker was on vacation this week and boy did it get to be LONELY! And there were what I call "big dog" meetings at work this week where all the important people meet! I was invited to attend and so I did. Like any meeting, there are some interesting discussions and there are some down right boring one's. The great part about being involved was that I did score lunch both days and boy was it YUMMY and of course I got to find out some of the stuff that I never hear about that goes on w/in the company! That's about it with me for the week! I'm heading to Lake Gaston in the morning with my hubby, my sister Whitney, her husband Charlie, and nephew Tucker to spend some time relaxing with one of my best friends since Middle School and her family. I am sooo excited b/c we just don't get the time to hang out like we used to. I hope to have some great pics to share next week! Have a great weekend fellow bloggers!

Smores

Ok....I blame this posting on my Mom! Last week while I was at her house on one of my many weekly visits, she made me a Smores! SO YUMMY! It had been forever since I had eaten Smores! So, when Kevin and I went grocery shopping on Monday night...right there in the middle of the isle was EVERYTHING needed for Smores! It was calling my name, it was meant to be that I walked right by this stand...LOL! I just make one up and put in the microwave for 15 seconds and you're ready to enjoy! The only thing that could make this any better is to actually roast the marshmallows over a camp fire! (Mandy...sorry about the food post...I told you I was going to try and watch the food BUT I just couldn't resist...LOL!)

Chippokes Plantation State Park/Pork, Peanut, & Pine Festival

This past weekend we went to the Pork, Peanut, & Pine Festival at Chippokes Plantation State Park along the James River. It was Mom, David, Whitney, Tucker, Amanda, and myself. There was lots of food, craft vendors, music, animals, and even some educational stuff! We even got to see David Lee Murphy in concert (just in case some of you aren't country music fans, he sings "Dust on the Bottle" and many more)! We had some good quality family fun!

More flower blooms!

This is for you Wendy...I told you that I would take a pic of my crape myrtle so here it is! I still can't believe you're not a fan of the crape myrtle, I think they are beautiful! And here is a rose bush bloom on 1 of our 2 rose bushes. Kevin planted them a couple months ago so I was very excited to see a bloom! And then there's this ground cover in the back flower bed, I think it's verbenia...it was in a potted plant that we were given at our lawn and garden cookout the year we got married (2005) and it just keeps coming back every year.

This will really make you think!

I received this on an email today...it will really make you think and put life in perspective!

The Dash In July 2006, a short 3-minute movie was launched on the Internet called The Dash. Since then, over 40 million people from around the world have watched it; and over 20,000 a day continue to watch it as a result of people passing it along . The movie has been more successful than anyone could have ever imagined. More importantly, however, it has inspired many, many people to reflect on their lives and ask that all important question, 'Are my priorities where they should be?' I hope you enjoy this movie and share it with those who are close to you.

Welcome home Steve!!!!

All of you bloggers know who Steve is from Shelley's blog. He came home yesterday after a long hospital stay. I just finished talking to Vicky (his wife) and just had to blog about Steve! All this coming from Vicky of course b/c I am ashamed to say that I have not seen Steve since the accident but plan on doing so VERY SOON! Vicky says that he is sooo VERY HAPPY to be home, he even said on the drive home after recognizing surroundings that "This place is so beautiful". I can only imagine after being away from home for so long! We all know that there is NO place like home! Steve will have to travel to Greenville a few times during the week for physical therapy! So, please continue to keep Steve, Vicky, and family in your thoughts and prayers. He has come such a long way since the accident and we wish him well for further recovery!

Steve, you are deeply missed by ME and many more here at Resinall! And here are just a few things that I miss...his good morning's (Steve always greeted me just about EVERY work morning with a smiling face despite my terrible morning mood) and I miss his brief visits throughout the work day (you never knew what he was gonna come up with on his visit)! That's just to name a few, I could go on and on! Oh...BUT I can't forget all the strawberry shortcake's he used to bring me "just because" and all the other surprise goodies! He could always bring a smile to your face! So, Steve you are deeply missed and loved by many!

WELCOME HOME STEVE!

Tucker completes swimming lessons!

Tucker and Jaqui
Mommy and Tucker

Tucker's favorite was the raft!

All the Mommy and Me's!!!

Tucker has been taking swimming lessons (well...Mommy and Me swimming classes) at the Franklin YMCA! After the 1st week of screaming and crying, he finally figured out that swimming was so much fun and LOVED every class after that! Here are few pics of him on his last night (the lighting was horrible and my camera just didn't like it at all)!

TLC Word Expressions

Here is the TLC Wall Expression that I have over my double window in my den (The picture came out kind of dark AND please excuse the fact that the curtains are uneven-the AC must have been blowing while I was taking the pic and also excuse the surround sound wire that my hubby has run across the top-you really can't see it unless you stand on a chair like I had to in order to take the pic), it is a lot like the Uppercase Living. Wendy (on my blog page) may have some of these left if you're interested since she used to sell TLC products (Wendy-hope you didn't mind me mentioning your name). This will be it for the Uppercase Living and TLC wall stuff for a while (at least until I can get some painting done in my house).

All this rain brought some beauty!

Just for the record, I have NO green thumb. Kevin is quite good with plants so I'm learning slowly. Well, since all this rain, many of my plants have "come to life"! It's amazing what nature will do compared to just plain old tap water. Here are just a few of the plants that have taken off since all the rain. I LOVE the hibiscus flower so Kevin surprised me awhile back with a hibiscus plant. This one has a different flower from previous one's we've had, it's lighter in color and has more petals. The other is just a petunia hanging basket that I bought at the local Walmart for $5!

More Uppercase Living

Here's the softball that I talked about in my last post from Uppercase Living. It's small! It took a lot for me to put a "sticker" on my car (I'm OK with magnets as you can tell-the OBX and Atlanta Braves magnets)...Shelley can tell you that I'm really, really weird about that! BUT I LOVE my softball and think it turned out great.

Uppercase Living

Just thought that I would share one of my finished products that I bought from Uppercase Living, "Always Remember to Kiss Me Goodnight", I wish that it was a bit lower but I wouldn't dare tell my hubby to rehang it...LOL. It is just the decal that I bought from Uppercase Living. I then bought the board that it goes on from a place online, www.shopladybird.com . I had a show back in May and sold over $1000 worth. I got soooo much free so I ended up getting a lot of extra stuff to have on hand for gifts. This actual one I bought from Amanda's party, she was the 1st in our area to have a party! You can check it out at www.uppercaseliving.com if you're interested in the products, you can view the catalog there. I will share more as I get them up (Oh...I will have to take a pic of the softball on my back glass of the 4runner (that's for you Mandy). Many of you saw the one's that Wendy bought and put up on on her blog (they turned out great as well).

Holiday Weekend!

Well guys, I know you probably thought that I had fallen off the face of the earth BUT I haven't! I FINALLY have my inernet service back and have been able to download my pics at home, woo hoo!!!! (Sorry, I've been way excited since I can do this from home). BUT....My pics are not as I want them...having much trouble placing them...Shelley and I have worked on them this morning but haven't had any luck at all (we even managed to delete a few of the pics and there on my home computer so I'll have to share those later) SO if anybody can help, PLEASE DO (because once again...I'm AGGREVATED)!!! Now, about my weekend, we had a very BUSY and WONDERFUL long weekend! We started out the 4th with a family trip to the Richmond Metro Zoo in Chesterfield, VA. What a great time we ALL had (Mom and David, myself and Kevin, Whitney, Charlie, and Tucker, Davey and Brooks, and Amanda)! Tucker LOVED seeing all of the animals, he even got to feed many of them! We were back home by dark and went for fireworks at The Pulley's (my camera died before the fireworks:-()! Then Charlie, Whitney, Tucker, and myself got up early Saturday morning and went to Bugs Island to spend the rest of the weekend at Theresa's Lake Home! What a beautiful home she has on the lake! Theresa is a very dear friend of ours who we think the world of! We finally got to meet her mother (Ms. Nita) and brother (Tim)too, SUPER NICE folks! Tucker enjoyed the boat riding most of all and Whitney even went tubing behind the boat. What a great holiday weekend we had!

Your Fellow Bloggers AWESOME Creativity

Just wanted to share some of our fellow bloggers creativity! We had loads of help to make Tucker's 2nd bday party a success! As many of you know, he had what he called a "choo choo" train bday party. Shelley made AWESOME train ticket invitatations and Donielle did a SUPER looking cake! A HUGE THANKS to both of you guys!!!! We got soooo many compliments on both. Tucker's Paw-Paw, Daddy, and Uncle Davey put together "The Tucker Express" for all his little (and big...LOL) party friends! And Tucker's Aunt Manda embroidered a birthday shirt for Tucker to wear on his real birthday so a big thanks to you too, another Miss Creativity! Sorry guys...you'll probably begin to get tired of hearing about Tucker but he is the highlight of my life!!!!
