News in our family is NEVER ENDING!!:-))))

Yes, I said "News in our family is NEVER ENDING"...I just got a phone call from Brooks...they had an ultra sound today and she and Davey are pregnant with TWINS!!! Yes, I said TWINS! Her Grandmother is a twin so we were just talking about that at our cookout Friday night and knew it was very possible that she be pregnant with twins BUT who ever thought she would be...exciting!!! They do know at this point that they are NOT identical but all is well:-) Just had to share the excitement! And Amanda please forgive me...I took it upon myself to blog the news b/c you haven't blogged in FOREVER!!! :-)))))

Baby Benson, 34 weeks (REALLY 33 weeks, 6 days)

*This is the email I sent out y'day on my check-up but didn't get a chance to blog it with my other post*

Hello to all! I went this morning for a check-up...nothing really to report which is GREAT news. All looks great with Baby Benson and we are still on track for July 8th being the due date. Baby Benson was once again very active, heart rate was b/t 140-145. We will go back in 2 weeks and then will start the weekly visits! I still can't get over how time has flown by...he/she will be here before we know it:-) Until next time, take care:-)



p.s And for those of you that have not heard just yet...Whitney, Charlie, and Tucker announced this weekend that they are expecting again...due Dec. 10 which makes her 3 months! And I think most of you know about Brooks and Davey as well...they are due Jan. 15. So we will have babies everywhere our way:-)))) So EXCITING!!!

Weekend Cookout w/ NEWS!

Friday night we had an early Memorial Day cookout at Mom and David's...great food and much fun! A few snapshots below...NOW I have "new" news and then I have "old" news per say...but not really old...just old b/c I hadn't blogged about it yet. Just hadn't blogged those pics yet! Anyway here goes...we had all finished eating Friday night and Tucker came back out of the house and said "My Mommy has a baby in her tummy" (as he points to her tummy)! It was the cutest thing...wish I could have caught it on video! So...Whitney and Charlie are expecting along with Big Brother to be Tucker...she had her ultra sound on Friday and she is 3 months pregnant due on December 10! Now for the older news...Brooks and Davey announced at our May birthday dinner that they are expecting as well...she goes for her ultra sound tomorrow but they are thinking that she is due on January 15! So, we are going to have babies EVERYWHERE our way! It's all so exciting! I hope little Tucker will adjust well with so many little one's and starting pre-school in August. I'm sure he'll be just fine. Tucker with his new watering can like Me-Maw's so that he can help her take care of the flowers! And that's Charlie with his head cut off!

Ok y'all...I feel soooo STUPID! I hadn't a clue how to put followers on my blog page 'til Shelley just told me! Just a bit embarrassing...LOL! Anyway...Shelley's posted BUT it's not showing up that she's posted and it's about ME...so excited that I had to tell (hope that's not tacky of me...just EXCITED)! Over the 30 mark...

Well yesterday I went "over the 30 mark", I celebrated 31 years...I didn't ever think I'd get that old and last year I stressed about the "BIG 30". Of course it wasn't a big deal after the fact but it's still hard to believe that I am really that old even though I don't consider it old at all! I had a wonderful day...Kevin is working nights so he surprised me when he got home yesterday morning with a Canon Powershot G110 camera, 14.1 megapixils! I was so surprised and so excited. He actually dropped mine a few weeks ago when we were visiting my friend Melissa and her new baby at Obici. It still worked but the screen was a little messed up. Anyway...the pics below are with Mom's camera...I will try to get the few I took with my camera downloaded soon and post. Then, Kevin went to bed to get some zzzz's and I went to church. Little Tucker came in and the 1st thing he said was "Happy Birthday Aunt Chele Chele"...it was so sweet...made my day. We had lunch at church and Mom made me a sinful chocolate cake and everybody sang! Tucker thinks it's great to sing "happy birthday" and he thanked Mom for having a birthday party for Aunt Chele Chele when he left. I then went back to Mom's to open another gift and hung out for the rest of the afternoon 'til it was time for Kevin to get up...went to Amanda's too and visited with her and Brooks. When Kevin awoke, we went to Joe's Pizza to eat. Whit, Charlie, Tucker, Mom, and David went too and then we went back to Mom's for more cake! It was a great day despite the weather! So many of my friends and family were so good to me...I also got a manicure and pedicure gift certificate, some money, some jewelry, and a huge basket of Harry and David goodies that one of my best friends bought right in front of my face when we went to W'burg on Saturday to spend the day...I didn't have a clue! I was so surprised yesterday when she brought it to me! She and my sister were tripping out that I didn't know! Anyway...that was my day in a nut shell! Look at that belly at almost 33 weeks!

Tucker is just like his Mommy and LOVES Parmesan cheese...they eat it by the spoonfuls...will share pics from camera too later on! It was so funny seeing him lick the plate clean!

Mother's Day

So I am WAY behind on posting...have so much I'd like to post so I will be posting all out of order probably! These pics are from last weekend...Mother's Day! "ME" Update

Just wanted to give y'all a "ME" update...the doctor's office called this morning and I am happy to report that my lab work came back negative showing NO signs of bacteria or infection! She said that it had to have been the way baby was laying on my bladder. I am still feeling just fine so hopefully I won't have to take that antibiotic that I got filled on Tuesday.

Still hoping to blog about something interesting in the next few days...the nursery progression with some pics and a few other things!

Baby Benson, 32 weeks (31 weeks, 6 days REALLY)

Hello to you all! I have so much to blog about from the weekend but wanted to give you all an update on Baby Benson...I will get to the rest at some point...hopefully this week! This update comes a few days early after an unscheduled doctor's visit this morning. I was originally supposed to go on Thursday but ended up having to go in this morning. I didn't feel that great all weekend and then Sunday night I rested hardly any...very uncomfortable but didn't really know why. Then y'day I wasn't up for working and it hit me that I probably was heading towards a UTI. So I called y'day around lunch time and again around 4ish and still hadn't heard anything at all at 5:45 PM! I then decided to call one of the midwife's cell numbers b/c she said that if I needed anything at all to call. So, she sent me to the store to get me some discomfort medicine to get me thru the night and said to call back 1st thing this morning b/c I would need to come in so that they could get a urine specimen. I knew that UTI's are one of the main causes for early labor so she wanted me there this morning ASAP...so I called and got an 8:45 appt. The strip that they test for there in the office was OK/NORMAL so that's a good sign...she is still sending the specimen to the lab for further analysis. She still gave me meds and told me that way I would have them if the results came back positive or if I got to feeling bad again...it's all really weird b/c I feel GREAT today BUT she said she was glad I came in---better safe than sorry! She then proceeded to tell me that it very well may have been the way the baby was lying PLUS I probably over did myself the weekend lifting, etc (I didn't tell her that part). Anyway...she went ahead and checked the baby...all was GREAT once again with Baby Benson, heart rate was 135. I had gained 2 lbs but am still measuring a bit small but she still said that was NO worry at all b/c of my small frame. So, it's back in 2 weeks unless they find something in the culture...she will call me on Thursday to let me know those results. Until then...

Welcome Camrey Beale Nelson!

My friend Melissa had another baby girl on Monday, Camrey Beale Nelson, 7 lbs, 13 oz, 19 1/2 inches long! Kevin and I went to see them last night...she was so sweet! I got to hold her almost the entire time I was there. They came home today! Congrats to Mark, Melissa, and Big Sister Caroline!

Just wanted to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister's husband Charlie and to Amanda's husband Junior, yes they have the same birthday! I didn't have any pics that I could put my hands on of them by themselves and we haven't gotten together just yet for ALL the May birthday's in our family (there's Charlie, Junior, ME, my sister Whitney, and Amanda too)! I will try to share more recent pics when we get together! Hope the birthday boys have a wonderful day!

Ice Cream, Ice Cream...we all scream for Ice Cream!

Had to share these pics of Tucker with y'all...a week ago we kept Tucker since Whitney and Charlie had ball practice and I'm can't play this year...well...we decided to have some ice cream. Uncle KK had already given Tucker a brown mule to eat which he completely devoured! Well then I break out an orange sherbet push-up and he wanted to taste so I let him. Needless to say I didn't get it back! He thought it was the best thing and b/c you have to push it up he thought that was the NEATEST. We got so many laughs at this...you can see his excitement in the pictures below as he shouts "Ice Cream, Ice Cream...we all scream for Ice Cream"! It was too funny...Amanda was at our house as well and got to enjoy this as well...we just couldn't stop laughing!

Phase 1...Nursery Progress

Many of you have been asking for pics of the nursery...we are slowly getting there. We've just had a lot going on and haven't been able to work on it like I wish we could. Kevin painted the green last Monday while he was off. It looks more yellow in these pics but I can assure you that it is green. We have decided to stripe the wall that the crib goes on so my sister-in-law Brooks is planning to help me out with that Friday afternoon when I get off. She has striped walls in her house and said she would be glad to do it so I am very excited to see the outcome. The rest of the walls will be solid. Hope to share the stripes with you over the weekend! Hope everyone has a great Monday! Kevin and I are off to our first child birthing class tonight!
