Baby Benson, 37 weeks

Hi all! This morning we had our 37 week check-up. Don't really have a whole lot to report. I had to wait for an hour once I got in the exam room so I was a little frustrated but I really liked the Nurse Practitioner I saw...she was great, very informative. My blood pressure was a lil high but she told me that came along with the end of pregnancy. Baby Benson's heart rate was 143 so he/she was perfect and head is still down and ready for entrance into this world. They didn't check me for dilation but will on Tuesday afternoon when I go back...I will see one of the midwife's at this visit. Hope to know more after next week's visit!

Happy 3rd Birthday Tucker!

Happy Happy Birthday to my sweet nephew Tucker! He is 3 today! My how time has flown! We had his 3rd birthday bash on Saturday, a Grave Digger party, so I will blog many pics a little later!

Busy Weekend!

Just wanted to check in...busy, busy weekend! Friday as you all saw my post, had a doctor's appointment and then maternity pics. Then on Saturday we had Tucker's 3rd Birthday Bash that I will of course blog about later! And then today Mom and I made a run to Babies R' Us, Target, and Walmart to return a few duplicates I received and pick up a few things. And now the weekend is almost over...why does it fly by???

Baby Benson, 36 weeks, 2 days

Happy Friday to everyone! Hope everyone is well! We went for Baby Benson's last bi-weekly check-up this morning! All was well...heartbeat was in the upper 150's. She estimated Baby Benson's weight to be 5 1/2 to 6 pounds. She said my cervix had began to shorten already and for me to pack my bags and get everything ready b/c things were getting close. She said I was so very close to dialation, just maybe Baby Benson will be early...we will see. I had gained 1 lb. Still measuring a bit small as I have the entire time but still no worries. And I had the beta strep test to test for infection so that they can be prepared for that in labor if I were to have the infection...no biggy..they just give me meds if that comes back positive...she said a large percent of everyone carries it and doesn't know it. They just have to be prepared so baby doesn't get it. Our next visit will be on Wednesday, June 17. It won't be long now at all:-)

I also had maternity pics done this afternoon so I will share a few of those with you soon...Carol at Conway Photo (check her out...she's in my blog list and does AWESOME work)ask me to be her model to experiment as she had been to a class and learned lots of new techniques. I think they are going to be awesome! Kevin even got in on a few:-)

Baby Shower #2

Finally, here are a few pics from my shower on Sunday! It was so much fun...I believe we counted b/t 60-70 attended and that doesn't count the numerous gifts I've received in the mail and the one's folks have brought to me. We received MOST of our big stuff...stroller travel system, bedding, bathtub, and so much more! We are planning to get to the store this weekend to pick up the rest of what we may need with the many gift cards we received! Thanks to all who thought myself and Baby Benson was special enough to help give the shower and thanks to everyone who came and those who sent gifts as well...I am working on Thank You notes now so hopefully I will have all of those done soon! There are not a lot of pics of the actual gifts in this post so I will post the nursery later once I get everything straight (the gifts filled up the entire room) so that you can see many of them...the nursery is so dag-on cute now that everything is coming together! Didn't Steph do a wonderful job on the cake? It was so cute!

Faith was such a big help! She ask me when I 1st got there..."So when are you gonna have that baby"? She thinks it's a girl...we shall see. And then that's my friend Melissa who just had a baby in April writing down the gifts I received.

Tucker was at our house one night last week and he found these magnets that we gave out at our wedding and took off with them! I was on the computer so I didn't really pay him any mind...a few minutes later Tucker came to me and said "Come look what I did Chele Chele"! We got sidetracked and I never made it to see what he did. After they left, Kevin called me in the kitchen to show me what Tucker did! So here it is...and you know I've left them all on the fridge just as he placed them! He was at the house Tuesday night so I took him to the fridge and ask him if he did that and he just gave me the biggest grin and said "yes, Chele Chele, I did it"! He was so proud!

Baby Shower #1

I know you all have been wondering if I was ever gonna post about the baby shower yesterday...so here I am FINALLY! I got off to a bad start this morning, insomnia so I was up at 3:45 AM and then when it was time to leave for work I discovered that I had a flat tire and of course Kevin worked nights last night so he hadn't made it home yet. Anyway...I finally made it to work! Now for the shower...we had a great time...a special thanks to Ava, Shelley, and Vicky for hosting it and a special thanks to those who attended. We had a great time with great gifts and food! We missed all of you who couldn't attend! A diaper cake...3 of my coworkers gave me this on Friday at work...it is adorable and will be oh so useful (I really am gonna hate to take it apart is so darn cute)!
