Snow Storm 2010

So I am playing catch up now that it's the end of January! Can't believe that I only shared one post in December! Anyway, I'm attempting to catch you up on December. Here are pics from the snow storm that came in Christmas night! Paisley LOVED every second of playing in the snow and pitched a fit every time I made her come in to get warm! It was oh so beautiful but I think we were all ready for it to go away so that we could get back to normal! And I must say I am so sick of this cold weather and am definitely ready for Spring and warmer temperatures! The look out of our front door!
Our Santa flag whipping in the blizzard!

I think we ended up getting around 14"!

Paisley and Reed out in the middle of the snow storm! Reed didn't last long as you'll see below!

Paisley taking it all in!

And this is what I was talking about...Reed fell right asleep! Guess he got all warm to come out and it made him so sleepy...we laughed and laughed about this!

Paisley, Reed, and Tucker!

Tucker and Paisley sledding! This pic actually made the special section "Snow Storm 2010" of our local paper!

Heading back up the hill for more!

This time she went down by herself! She absolutely LOVED it!

Daddy, Mommy, and Paisley just before heading in for hot chocolate! OH...and Uncle Charlie built a snowman BUT I never got a pic of it:-(

I have a 1 1/2 year old!

I managed to snap this picture of Paisley with my cell phone while we were waiting for the pediatrician yesterday (She will probably kill me for it later on life...lol)! She had a great visit...she was in the best mood! She got on the big scales like a big girl and also got her height taken the big kid way! She weighed 23 lbs. and was 30.5 inches long. She didn't cry for the nurses or the pediatrician...she just talked and laughed away with them. I was a bit nervous that she had to get 3 shots since Daddy couldn't go with us...you all know I am or use to be the "big fainter" when it comes to needles. Mommy closed her eyes while she held Paisley and the nurse gave her the shots. Paisley only cried for a second after the 3rd shot! I was so proud of both of us! She is growing up so fast...this visit made me really realize it!
Well once again it's been FOREVER since I've posted! I have a lot that I'd like to catch up on posting wise so we'll see if it happens...we have still been very busy going here, there, and everywhere since the holidays. In fact, we still have to meet with two families to exchange Christmas gifts...makes it kind of fun stretching it out. None the less I wanted to post that I now have a 1 1/2 year old...that sounds so crazy to me..seems like just y'day that Paisley was born. Now she's a lil person doing so much and doing so with so much personality! I waited 'til just before bath to snap pics of her on her 18 month bday! This is what she spends a lot of time doing and I think it's wonderful...reading and looking at books! I just hope she will continue to LOVE books! She also enjoys relaxing in her recliner watching her favorite "Kid Songs" dvd's or any other dvd/show that involves music! She loves to be read to as well...she really is developing a vocabulary that I never imagined an 18 month old would have. She talks non stop and yes little sentences! She really in truly amazes us everyday with something new! As you all know she is the light of our life!

We've had so much going on since Thanksgiving that I never posted any of our November happenings. Here are a few of my favorite pics from November! Paisley in her zebra dress!

Reed turned 1 on Wednesday, November 24. We always have Thanksgiving at my Mom's the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving so we celebrated for the 2nd time on his actual birthday! Here's the HAPPY Birthday boy!

Paisley seems to be the "leader of the pack"!

All the lil one's playing before Thanksgiving dinner!

Reed with his very own chocolate cake that Me-Maw made!

Now this was quite a challenge! All 5 cousins!

The girls climbing!

One more try!

Me-Maw and Paw-Paw gave all the grandchildren "Elf on the Shelf" so Aunt Brooks reads the story that tells about "Elf on the Shelf"

Paisley on Thanksgiving day!

Me-Maw's birthday was on Thanksgiving Day this year...November 25! Here's Paisley checking out part of her gift!

We put up our Christmas tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving! Here's Paisley putting on an ornament!

I was decorating the tree and turned around and looked and Paisley had layed down in the floor and fell right asleep! Putting up the tree is hard work!

Checking out the ornaments when she awakes! She is so amazed at all the lights this year! She is going to be loads of fun Christmas Day!

Ho Ho Ho!

Thursday a week ago we (Kevin, myself, Paisley, Whitney, Tucker, & Reed) visited the Legendary Santa in Richmond at the Children's Museum of Richmond. This was a tradition for my sister and I growing up so we want it to be the same for our kids. The only difference is that Santa was at Miller & Rhodes when we were coming up and now he has a permanent home at the Children's Museum. Paisley is not quite sure about Santa this year and Reed is not fond of him either. Tucker on the other hand thinks he's great! We only had about a 5 minute wait...now when Whit and I were growing up we waited HOURS to see the REAL Santa! We had a FUN and BUSY day as we left home at 8 AM and didn't return until 8 PM! These 1st 2 pics were snapped by the photographer at the Children's Museum...they happened to get Paisley before she burst into tears! Reed on the other hand...they weren't fast enough!

Waiting patiently!

The beautiful Snow Queen!

Paisley with the worried look!

Tucker and Reed!

Tucker telling Santa that he wants a drum set now that Reed isn't screaming in his ear!

Paisley thought it was great that Santa was talking to Tucker instead of her!

Whitney and Reed listening to Tucker talk to Santa!

Much fun at the museum after talking to Santa! Paisley loved the lights!

There's Santa!

Tucker posing!

Tucker in the post office!

Tucker and Paisley playing the houses in different countries that were set up!

Sweet Reed!

Tucker, where are you???

Just before leaving...posing as a face of a snow man!
