Turtle Creek Farm with GLA

Last Wednesday was Paisley's very 1st field trip. Her preschool group, Grace's Little Angels (GLA), took a trip to Turtle Creek Farms in Newsoms. It was the coldest and windiest day we've had in October but that made it fell like it was Fall! I was lucky enough to be able to go too! Paisley had the best time (and I did too), we took a hayride, got up close with the animals, saw a working beehive, and picked a pumpkin. As soon as we got there Paisley took right on to Farmer Blair. She did not have a shy bone in her body as you will see.
Paisley and Zoe walking up to the farm.

Are they not the sweetest!

See Paisley...told you she took right on to Blair who she had never seen in her life before...she helped him park cars.

Zoe and Paisley swinging while waiting for her other classmates to arrive.

"CHEESE"

And she discovered the pumpkins and probably moved them around 100 times!

Corbitt and his Mommy Tamara (left) and Ms. Jill and Lee!

Paisley got up close with the cows (made me a bit nervous BUT he assured us they were friendly cows)

Look how happy she was!

Had to post this pic of Corbitt...look at that smile on his face...he LOVED the cows!

Honey bees!

Levi found the red bucket hidden in the maze! In the bucket were tickets (Turtle Creek Farm stickers) to pick out a pumpkin!

Ms. Raegan's class on the hayride!

Paisley headed to pick out her pumpkin!

I think this was the 2nd or 3rd pumpkin she picked...not sure how many she touched before deciding on one to take home.

I think I want this one!

Checking out the duck and her egg!

Corbitt, Paisley and Levi were all born w/in a month of each other so we thought it would be neat to take their pic together...as you can tell that was a challenge!

Playing with the pumpkins again!

Shelling corn off the cobb to feed to the animals!

Feeding the chickens!

The mule and the horse...getting ready to feed them!

Another chicken!

Paisley feeding the horse!

Petting the duck!

The goat!

Milking the milk cow! I can't believe Paisley did this!

And playing with the pumpkins again!

Posing for a quick "CHEESE"!

The entire preschool got to write their names on the barn!

Blakely, Petyon and Paisley showing off their "Sew What" shirts!

Saying goodbye to MR. BLAIR, Paisley puckers up and gives him a kiss! This was totally unexpected by myself as well as Blair! I told him it was safe to say that she had a GREAT time!

Paint the Pumpkin at BFCU

This past Saturday we attended "Paint the Pumpkin" at BFCU, they have this event for the Buzz Club members! Paisley, Tucker, and Reed had a great time painting their pumpkins along with a few other activities. It took Reed awhile to warm up!

Paisley painting her pumpkin that she picked out by herself. She even insisted that she carry it to the table!

Tucker and Reed painting away!

They had a big hay pile set up for the kids to dig thru and find prizes! Here's Tucker showing Paisley what to do! Paisley enjoyed throwing the hay!

You could build a scarecrow!

And here's Paisley showing off her pumpkin that she painted once it dried! She is enjoying showing everyone that stops by our house and she has to point out the different colors that she painted!

Sesame Street Live

A couple of weekends ago Daddy surprised Paisley with Sesame Street Live tickets. I had been talking about going but never ordered the tickets so Daddy took up the slack! Our seats were GREAT and very close to the stage! I do not like being on the floor, I'd much rather be in the elevated seats just as we were. I had been a few years ago to see Thomas the Train with my nephew and we were on the opposite side and higher up BUT I must admit that there is NOT a bad seat at the Constant Convocation Center! I highly recommend it! The show was AWESOME! Daddy and Mommy enjoyed it just as much as Paisley! Paisley's attention was held the entire time! You will see in the pictures just how great of time she had singing and dancing! The characters interacted with the audience throughout the entire show by coming off the stage and I think ALL of the characters were there! It was such a great family day!

Posing with Elmo before the show!

Mommy and Paisley

Daddy and Paisley

Saying "cheese" just before the show! As you can see it was NOT crowded at all!

Checking out her Sesame Street Live book before the show!

Look at the amazement on her face as the characters came out!

And check her out singing...Daddy too (he'll probably kill me for this)!

Paisley thought Mr. Noodle was the funniest ever so now every time she looks at her book and sees him she laughs and laughs saying "Mr. Noodle FUNNY"!

The show coming to an end and as you see below Paisley danced til the very end!

And we have a winner!

A few months ago Kevin entered Paisley in a photo contest at his place of employment. They wanted pics of kids promoting "safety". Here is the pic that was entered of Paisley which was a WINNER! She will be featured on banners throughout several facilities promoting "safety"! She was also awarded a Toys R' Us gift card! And of course you know this gave Mommy and Daddy more bragging rights...lol! Happy Friday everyone!

Rain, rain go away...but not just yet!

For about 3 weeks now Paisley has been asking me for boots...."Mommy I want boots"! Anytime we were out and about and she saw someone with boots she would say "I want boots"! She never said what kind of boots and I really didn't think she would care just as long as she got some. So of course I get online and order her some. They arrived yesterday and she was one happy little girl when I opened the package to surprise her! She immediately put them on and did not want to take them off! I had to beg her at bath time and bed time to remove them...now that was a task! She also scored some lil brown suede boots at the mall on Sunday afternoon...she has not worn those yet but will soon with the cooler weather coming! And yes she actually wanted to wear them around the mall with her capri's but I wouldn't let her...lol!

Heritage Day

Saturday was Heritage Day in Courtland and we knew Paisley would enjoy herself so off we went. It was also mine and Kevin's 6 year wedding anniversary...we celebrated the night before with the night out since Kevin went back on shift Saturday night. There was lots for Miss P to take in and of course she enjoyed every minute of her time there. We thought we were getting there in plenty of time to see her Paw-Paw run the sawmill but he ended up running it a little early. That was fine with her as long as she was able to see him. We started out with the petting zoo. She wouldn't touch the animals but loved looking at them.

Next we took in some old fashioned music which she loved. This picture is a bit serious but when they finished their song she went to clapping and yelling "yayyyyy" (which the performers absolutely thought was the cutest)!

We checked out the pumpkins!

And the most FAVORITE even of the day...riding the train! She was waving at everyone around!

And then there were lots of tractors and of course we had to drive one!

And to end the day...Me-Maw took Paisley for a second ride on the train! Definately the highlight of Heritage Day for Paisley!

Paisley is a Pre-schooler!

Yes it's true...Paisley is old enough for Pre-school! We are lucky enough to have a local church with a Pre-school program for ages 2 to 5. And we're even more lucky for it to be run by a long time childhood friend. This is only the 2nd year that the program has been going but I've heard nothing buy GOOD so I was super excited to learn that Paisley could attend now that she's 2. She is only going 2 days a week but I know it will be great interaction for her. I was nervous of course yesterday but am very pleased to say that she had a GREAT day and NO tears were shed by Paisley or Mommy! Paisley woke up super excited knowing that she was going to "skool" to meet and play with new friends. You can tell she was one excited little girl by her "cheese" grin in ALL the pics! I hate to brag BUT I must say she is too stinkin' cute for words! I patiently awaited for the day to go by so that I could find out how her day went! And of course when Mommy and Daddy arrived Ms. Jill said she had a great day and that she was such a joy and that they LOVE her to pieces already! Oh the little things that make a Mommy and Daddy proud!

She LOVES her backpack and from what the teacher told me she wanted to wear it for much of the day!

Here she is just before we left...she discovered a doll house and was just fine with us leaving!
