Christmas Eve Pics

Christmas Eve I spent most of the day at my Mom's. Kevin was working nights during the holiday so I knew that he would need rest and didn't need me making noise around the house so I went to Mom's. Mom had Tucker since Whitney had to work on Christmas Eve and she had some baking to do so I entertained Tucker. I decided to take Tucker a treat so I took him the sand bucket that I did with his initial on it filled with goodies. He had the best time going thru all the goodies...he reminded me of myself and my cousins when we used to get "goodie boxes" from my Ganny and Pop every Christmas. That was the gift we all waited for it really was nothing but junk...LOL!
One of the things in the bucket was chap stick b/c he always ask me for my chap stick every time he sees me so here he is imitating how he puts chap stick on.

Look at Tucker with these funny teeth...there were a few pairs of these in his bucket!

This was Christmas Eve night. I went to Tucker's Christmas Eve night after Kevin went to work. Here he is in his Christmas PJ's.

Tucker baking cookies for Santa...HO HO as he calls him.

Baby B's doctor's appointment

Hi all...just wanted to give y'all an update on today's doctor's visit. Everything looks excellent with Baby B, his/her heart rate was 155. I had gained 2 1/2 pounds this time so the Dr was pleased with that as I hadn't gained any from being so nauseated, the nausea is 90% gone now! She did call me in some headache medicine as my hormones seem to be giving me migraines (had these when I was younger). She also gave me some cream to put on my face as well as I have been suffering some major breakouts...as you all know I've never had the clearest skin BUT this is ridiculous! Hopefully that cream will help! I will go back on February 5th. We will have an ultra sound and can find out the sex of the baby if we want to...this is still under discussion b/t Kevin and I so you'll have to stay tuned for that final decision. I think that's it...time is flying by already! Take care and I'll be in touch next visit!

Miracle Man

Just wanted to give y'all an update on my Uncle...Mom called last night around 8ish with GREAT news! Yesterday morning while 2 of his 3 kids were visiting him the doctor came in to try a few things...he ask my cousins to stay and they are so glad they did. The doctor unhooked the vent completely and lowered quite a bit of the dosage of medicine that he was hooked up to and my Uncle Earl Wayne sat right up in that bed, knew where he was and who everybody was that was there! How AWESOME is that! The doctor was in shock...he told him that he was a "Miracle Man" because 1 week ago he knew that he wouldn't be living! Please continue to keep my Uncle and his family in your prayers and THANK YOU so much for all your previous prayers as they have helped my Uncle back on his way to recovery:-) God is good!

I'm heading out to the doctor for a check up this morning...will let y'all know how that goes.

Have a great day:-)

Christmas in Richmond

The Sunday before Christmas (Kevin's actual birthday) we headed to Richmond to celebrate Christmas with my Mom's brother and sister and their families. We always have a big meal and enjoy each other's company. We don't get to see any of them much throughout the year so we always have a lot of catching up to do. It was a wonderful time as always. Mom got some great pic shots as well so I may share those later! My Mom helping my Aunt Peggy get ready for the feast! Boy was it yummy! I always love eating at My Aunt Peggy and Uncle Harry's b/c she cooks so much like my Ganny (her Mom) did when she was with us.

My cousin Angela (my Aunt Peggy's daughter---they say she and I have some of same facial features) lighting ALL the candles in the dining room...I bet there were 100 candles to light and they were so beautiful when all of them were lit!

My Uncle Harry taking Tucker for a ride on the tractor! He thought that was the greatest thing! This brought back memories b/c when Whitney and I were little we would go and stay with my Aunt and Uncle for the week and this was one of the things that we really enjoyed doing while there. They probably live in one of the few places in Richmond that is like the country...they have a lot of land around them.

All my other 2nd cousins waiting for their turn to ride on the tractor! It was a big hit with all of them!

Rachel took a lot of time up with the Tucker. Rachel is my cousin Lisa's (my Mom's brother's oldest daughter) youngest daughter.

Here is my Mom, Aunt Peggy, Uncle Earl Wayne (this is Mom's brother who is so sick now--he is make a little progress but still very, very sick), and my Aunt Judy catching up after the big meal.

Christmas with my Dad's Family

Ok...I am finally getting around to sharing Christmas with y'all...you'll probably be sick of our Christmas by the time I finish all the posts so bare with me. On the Saturday before Christmas, we got together with my Dad's family at my Grandma and Grandaddy's in Sedley. Tucker was so very excited, he figured out at this gathering that he LOVED opening presents as you can tell in his overly excited expression above when he open the John Deere tractor that my Dad gave him. He calls my Dad Grandaddy just like Whitney and I call his Dad Grandaddy.

Tucker was excited about each and every gift NO matter what it was...even the clothes he received.

My cousin Ashley, her boyfriend Ryan, and Ashley's Dad...my Uncle Jerry.

Tucker had to try on the hat that he received...he was so funny!

My Grandaddy Allen.

Ashley gave Tucker a play grill that really had lighted flames...he kept going and getting chicken drummettes off the table and cooking them! It was hilarious!

My Aunt Cathy with her granddaughter Gabriel.

Charlie and Tucker try out Grandma's motorized scooter...it's always a favorite play toy every time we visit...LOL...that thing flies!

Kevin, myself, and Tucker

Gabriel and Tucker chat about Noah's Ark

My Grandma Allen with all but one of her grand kids...Travis, Whitney, Ashley, and Me. Tucker and Gabriel are her Great Grand kids!

Needed Prayers

Awhile back I posted about my Uncle Earl Wayne in Richmond (my Mom's brother) who has cancer, we saw him almost 2 weeks ago for Christmas and he was doing great BUT things have changed and our family needs many prayers. We got a call y'day that Tuesday night he woke up in the middle of the night throwing up blood so the ambulance came to take him to the hospital...he had lost so much blood that he was unable to get himself up out of the bed when the paramedics got there to transport him. He has been admitted and has since then quit breathing on his own so he is on the vent. As of last night, they told us that he would be on the vent for a couple of days at least and that they were trying to get his blood pressure back up since it was WAY low. My Aunt Judy is meeting with the doctor's this morning to try and find out more about what is actually going on so please send some prayers their way that things will look up for them and give them the strength to get through this.

Happy New Year to everyone...I will try to catch up on my posting soon I hope if I can stay out of the road...I am spending today with one of my good friends that I don't get to see much...I'm so excited!
