Mums

I've been meaning to blog these for about 2 weeks now (since it's been FALL) BUT somehow FORGOT and now I need to take NEW pics to share b/c my mums are so much brighter and fuller now (maybe I'll do that and post later). Anyway, anytime we plant something in the yard and it comes back and blooms beautiful...I get sooo excited! I guess it's b/c I don't have a green thumb....Kevin on the other hand is great with plants! I LOVE all the FALL colors!

Notice how these are ECU colors (wonder who's idea that was...LOL)!

My Sister's Gotten a "Lil Crafty"!

For those of you that know my sister, Whitney, you along with myself would have NEVER thought that my sister would have this in her! I was so proud of her that I wanted to share with all of you! She made her own Fall wreath and what an EXCELLENT job she did and she only has $10 total in it! I am still in shock that she attempted it...LOL! Guess I should give her more credit from now on, huh! I'll be putting her to work for me in the future as she owes for the past...right, Shelley...LOL?!?!?! GREAT JOB SISTER!

Happy 5th Birthday Edy!

Sunday afternoon after church we headed to Edy's 5th birthday party for lots of inflatable fun as you'll see below! It's hard to believe that Edy is 5 years old...seems like just yesterday that she was born prematurely weighing in at only a little over a pound! She fought and fought and is now a perfect little 5 year old! The Birthday girl, Edy!

Tucker and Alyssa on one of the three inflatables, the big slide!

Again on the slide!

Going up the obstacle course inflatable!

Yes adults could play too...Whitney with Tucker on the other side of the obstacle course...a BIG drop off! And you know this was Tucker's favorite since it was a challenge for he and of course a HUGE challenge for us adults...LOL!

Millie (Edy's Mommy) with Ada (one of Edy's little sisters)!

Myself, Tucker, Alyssa, and Taylor! Boy did I have loads of fun being a kid again!

Lydia...Alyssa's little sister...she and Tucker are exactly a week a part in age!

Tucker's 1st Wedding!

I have finally found a little time to blog! I have so much that I want to blog from the weekend but just haven't had the time to get to it. Busy at work and then have something planned every night this week! Anyway...I'll just post as I get to it!

Tucker was in his very 1st wedding this past weekend and he did GREAT for a 2 year old...I wasn't able to attend the wedding but I did make it to the reception for a bit. My sister said that he went right down the isle with the flower girl (I think he found himself his 1st girlfriend too) as you'll see below, stood there thru the entire ceremony, and then walked out as he was supposed to! The wedding was outdoors at a pond (very casual, barefoot and all) so I really think that helped Tucker b/c he's happy if he's outdoors and then Charlie was in the wedding as well. How sweet is this picture...Tucker and Neva!

TTD

Most of you have checked Shelley's blog with all the latest info on our TTD pics BUT there's one more thing...click on Photo By Tara on my blog site and you'll see a slide show of us plus more pics with Tara's story! Just thought you all might enjoy!!! And by the way...my dress should be ready for pick up next week all cleaned, preserved, and good as new!

Sedley Woodworking Mantle

For all of your woodworking needs call Sedley Woodworking!!!

Here is the BEAUTIFUL mantle that I was talking about in my last post. Matt has a new woodworking business, "Sedley Woodworking", he does beautiful work! Anyway, the story behind this work...my Mom and David recently moved into a new house and they had gotten some old lumber from my Pop's home place so they had Matt make one of the five mantles for their house. To make a long story short, Matt mis-measured or wrote down the wrong measurements (we're all human) so he had to make Mom and David a new one. Well, I had said that I would LOVE to be able to get the one that didn't fit since it was sentimental to me having my Pop's wood in it. Soooo Matt surprised us last week and told Kevin to stop by and pick up something and that "something" was the mantle! I was sooo excited! It's in storage now safely protected for our future home that we plan to build right beside Steph and Matt in Sedley, VA. Hopefully that won't be to terribly long off in our future.

Brantley Twins

This past weekend I FINALLY made it to the Brantley's! Steph and Matt are dear friends of ours that we used to spend almost every weekend with at some point! Well, after 4 children and our busy schedules, we just don't see each other like we used to! That will all change one day hopefully if we ever get to build on our land that is beside them. Anyway, Steph and Matt have Matthew (5 years old), Faith (who will be 4 years old on Halloween), and the twins, Jenna and David who were born this past February! YES, she has her hands full!!! But she manages it very well, some people are just cut out for it! Anyway, Matthew and Faith think a lot of KK and Chele (as they call us) and we just haven't been able to find time to get together! BUT on Sunday afternoon after eating with my Grandmother, I ran by the Brantley residence to return some blankets! The blankets were from transporting a mantle that Matt had made (he owns Sedley Woodworking and does beautiful work---I will blog about the mantle in a later blog). I was able to visit for a couple of hours and we had a great time catching up! I couldn't believe how much the twins had grown. They are BOTH crawling around and getting anywhere they want to go. And little Jenna is even saying Da Da! WOW! That little David just grins at you and looks at you with those big eyes...so dag on sweet and little Jenna has the fattest arms and legs I've ever seen...I could just eat them both up! And of course I had to check out Faith's latest hobby...making bracelets and Matthew's latest thing is cutting the grass! It's so amazing when you go a few months how much you have missed! They are all growing sooo FAST!!! These pics aren't the greatest...they were taken with my cell phone! Jenna Elizabeth
