Happy 1st Birthday to my nephew REED!

Today my sweet nephew, Reed, turns 1! Once again I say..."where does the time go"? We had his birthday party this past Saturday. At first he didn't know what was going on BUT he fell in there shortly after things got going! All the kiddo's had a blast! I will try to share a few more pics later. Tonight we are celebrating at my Mom and David's with our normal Wednesday night Thanksgiving Dinner as well as Reed's birthday and Mom's birthday. Mom's birthday is on Thanksgiving Day this year! Happy Birthday Reed and Mom! And why am I in front of all these people!
Reed is almost walking, not quite but it definitely won't be long!

Enjoying his cake! And boy did he enjoy it!

Halloween Weekend

On Friday I wasn't sure how our weekend would be since Paisley had the reaction on Wednesday to the Amoxicillin she was on BUT when I arrived to pick her up after work at Me-Maw's you really couldn't tell that she had even had a rash at all (unless you knew she did) and she was acting fine! So our Halloween weekend began! We got the kiddo's dresses and headed to downtown Franklin to trick or treat at the businesses. We've been doing this for a couple of years now since Tucker's 2nd Halloween I believe! It's always crowded but it's nice to be able to trust who you are getting candy from and it's during daylight hours. That night we didn't get much sleep b/c she started with itching feet...so we saw every hour on the hour! I made a call to the pediatrician Saturday morning to see what I could do. She said to try and stick it out b/c we really didn't want to put her on steroids. So we made a trip to the drugstore to get hydrocortisone cream and Claritin to see if that would help. On Saturday evening Paisley seemed fine so we got the kiddo's dressed again and went to the Sedley Firehouse to the annual Halloween Party there. Miss P was good but became very tired before the judging contest since she wouldn't nap for me Saturday afternoon. We left the firehouse and took Tucker to a local neighborhood to trick or treat at a few houses. That was cut short b/c Paisley had an itching attack so we hurried home so that we could put cream on her feet. She slept for a few hours before awaking with another attack. On Sunday (Halloween Day), we went to church and then headed to a birthday party and then out to eat with the family. Paisley seemed fine all day Sunday until Sunday night when she awoke out of a dead sleep itching! So of course I called the pediatrician back on Monday morning...she still wanted to try and stick it out. So things got better during the week with only one attack at night time. However they lasted from one to two hours! On Wednesday the pediatrician suggested doing Claritin in the morning and Benadryl before bed time. This seems to be working. She also told me that a lot of times when a reaction happens that it takes about 2 weeks for antihistamine levels to get back to normal. She has had no itching since Wednesday night so hopefully we are on the mend. Sorry for the rambling...now to the pics below of our busy weekend! OH and not sure if you all saw our cousin bunch in the Tidewater News last week...they were all characters from "The Wizard of Oz" as you'll see below. There pic is on Facebook on my page if any of you are on Facebook. Getting ready for the candy in Franklin!

Tucker, the Tin Man!

Paisley as "Dorothy"

Reed as the "Lion"

Winston as the "Scarecrow"

REady to go again for more candy!

Paw-Paw with Claire as Glenda the good witch and Paisley

The Great Pumpkin visited Paisley. Paisley goes crazy over scarecrows in the store so she was surprised with one and a few other favorites...bracelets and Minnie Mouse pj's.

All dressed up in her pumpkin dress for church. As for the serious look...she fell asleep as soon as we got to church.

"Boo" she says!

Showing off her bracelet!

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween! We've had a rather eventful week so we are hoping to get out and still do some trick or treating. Paisley woke up Wednesday morning with red bumps from head to toe...she had what they call a non allergic reaction to the amoxicillin she was taking. She still all splotched up but feeling just fine, doctor says it will take a lil time to go away. It looks so much worse that it really is since she feels just fine. Hope to post some pics of her all dressed up next week. As many of you have seen in the Tidewater News today...our bunch is going to be the Wizard of Oz Characters, Paisley being Dorothy. Tara did their pictures last weekend and they turned out adorable. I'm hoping she will put them on FB. Until then here are some pics of Miss P in one of her Halloween outfits and watching her Daddy carve her Mickey pumpkin.

Excited to see what's going to happen!

Oooh Daddy, I'm not touching that gooey stuff!

Kicked back just watching and waiting for the finished result!

Look...it's Mickey! She was so excited to see it lit up!

"Stuck Like Glue"

I LOVE that my sister and I have little one's that are so close in age. Paisley and Reed are 5 months apart and just recently we have really seen their love for each other...check out the pics below and you will see! Their eyes light up when they see the other walk in the room! Paisley walks around all the time calling "Reed, Reed" and "Tucker". And if we go see them, the minute we pull up in their driveway you can hear the excitement in her voice! I hope they will continue to stay as close as they are...I'm sure for now it has to do with them spending so much time together at Me-Maw and Paw-Paw's during the day!

Picking out a pumpkin!

Last Monday we took Paisley to pick out her very own pumpkin! Our "Lil Pumpkin" had such a great time running and looking at all the pumpkins! We haven't had a chance to carve it yet but hope to either tonight or tomorrow night...I will post pics of that as well!

Paisley 15 months old 10-11-10

Paisley turned 15 months old last Monday (10-11) but I wanted to wait until we had her 15 month checkup before I blogged about it. She is really a hoot these days and has the sweetest personality. She is talking up a storm, way more that I thought she would. She is even putting together 2 and 3 word phrases! Amazing to me! We had her check up y'day morning...all went pretty well. She FINALLY weighs 20 lbs...yayyy! We had to play catch up from when she was so sick back in August. She is 29 1/2 inches long. She got 3 shots, should have been 4 since she got the flu shot BUT Dr. Applewhite said we could do 3 this time and 3 next time at her 18 month check up. Of course Paisley really kicked and screamed this time but recovered fast right when the nurse went out. Dr. Applewhite did put her on meds for 10 days since her right ear appeared to be "red"...it doesn't seem to be bothering her at all. Hopefully the meds will take care of her snotty nose and horrible cough as well. Below are pics of her doing a couple of her favorites...riding "her" 4wheeler and riding with her Daddy on his 4wheeler! She LOVES to do anything outside! I have a few more posts lined up so hopefully it won't be too long before I can post them! Just so busy these days!
