It's a GIRL...Paisley Faith

Big Cousin Tucker was so proud...he kept saying "I LOVE my Baby Paisley"!

Proud Daddy!

All dolled up in the dress her Daddy bought her!

Hi strangers...it's been awhile! As most of you have already heard via Facebook or elsewhere, Kevin and I have a precious and perfect baby girl. Paisley Faith was born Saturday, July 11, 5:07 AM. She weight 6 lbs, 0 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. She has a head full of jet black hair just like her Daddy's. We are doing very well! I must say there's nothing like it! Here are a few pics of our beautiful baby girl..will try to keep posting but you all know it's busy being a Mommy! Take care! Oh...we finally opened ultrasound pic and it was right...will be posting that later!

Baby Benson Update (40 weeks, 2 days)...The End is in Site!

"I've already talked to many of you but just wanted to send out an update...went this morning to be hooked up to the monitor. All was well...had a few strong contractions...I had almost dilated to 3 cm and my cervix is very, very thin and she also stripped my membranes again so she told me that she felt confident that I would go into labor this weekend. If not, I will be induced on Tuesday, July 14. So either way, there will be a baby very soon:-) I am feeling pretty good...kind of feeling weird...having contractions and a lot of pressure and a little light headiness so I'm hoping that's all a sign:-) It won't be long now y'all:-)"

Baby Benson 40 weeks (Really 39 weeks, 6 days)

"Hi all...I was really hoping that I wouldn't be writing this post but here I find myself typing away. Our appointment went well this morning just not the progression that I wanted. Nothing has really changed since last week...same dilation, etc. She did strip my membranes to try and get things moving a little quicker so hopefully that will work along with staying busy doing and walking like she told me. Since I will be past my due date, they have to see me twice a week now. So it's back on Friday if nothing happens before and they will put the baby on the monitor which is normal just to be sure he/she is not under stress. So...hopefully we won't make it to that point but that's the plan."

Baby Benson's Nursery

I know I promised these quite some time ago (some of you have already seen on FB)...here they are FINALLY! There are still a few things that will be done...Baby B's name will go behind the crib once he or she is born and then there's a wall when you walk in the room that will have monkey's on it but I'm waiting on one more monkey to be hung...I heard my Aunt has that monkey for me but she hasn't given it to me just yet. Thanks to Brooks and Davey for those stripes:-)

Thanks to Shelley for helping out with these monkey's:-)

Check out the photo Miss Carol from Conway Photo took above the dresser...be sure to check out her blog for a few of my maternity pics (she's on my blogger list)! Thanks Miss Carol! And thanks to Amanda for the diaper cake you see:-)

Another thanks to Amanda for making the curtain:-)

And thanks to Ms. Randi who painted my belly and did my belly cast this past weekend:-)

Baby Benson, 39 weeks (really 38 weeks, 6 days) It won't be long now!

Hi all! Went this morning for our weekly check-up. We went back and had an ultra sounds 1st...Baby Benson is approximately 6lbs, 3 oz with a head FULL of hair...it looked like a blow dryer was blowing it in the ultra sound, that's a lot of hair! She told me that she felt like Baby Benson would get no bigger than 6lbs, 5 oz if that. I am in the 19th percentile while she said most run in the 50th percentile but said there was no need for me to be alarmed...they begin to become alarmed when you get down to the 10th percentile. Heart Beat was 146. His/her little face is plump...think he/she is gonna look just like his/her Daddy...has plump lips and the nose is Kevin's too I think (check out the ultra sound pic-just a face shot since we don't want to know the sex). She did check me and I have begun to dilate...can't remember if she said 1 or 2 cm but I was 70% effaced (sp). She really seems to think that I will have Baby Benson w/in the next week on my own but if not she will give me my options on Tuesday at my check up. When she checked me today, she said I am going to get things stirred up in there to make things progress so we will see. She said that head is WAY down which they've told me the past 2 times so that's a good thing. So...that's today's visit...we're gonna have a baby soon:-) So the next update may be an actual baby...if not, we will be very close:-) Until then, Take Care!

Sorry this update is so late this afternoon...just getting home from a much needed pedicure...they say that certain pressure points in your feet will help things progress along:-)

Prego Belly Cast

Yesterday Randi (the same girl that did my belly art) did my belly cast at Ava's...here is the unfinished product...she will now plaster it and sand it and get it ready to paint so that I can hang it in the nursery. She is going to paint my nursery theme on it and then will put Baby Benson's name and birth date on it as well! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Baby Benson, 38 weeks (Really 37 weeks, 6 days)

Note: I wrote this last night and am just posting today

Hope this update finds you all well. We had a bit of a scare at our visit today but all is well:-) My blood pressure was up again at this visit as it was at last weeks visit so that concerned them. I tried to lay in the office for a bit and get it down but it just wasn't working so they sent me over to the hospital to the Women's Suite to be admitted and monitored. They hooked me up to several things...they monitored my BP every 15 minutes, hooked the monitor up to Baby Benson to keep track of him/her, and then I had to have some blood work done. Once they got a BP cup on me that worked, my BP came down to where it should be and all was fine. The blood work came back normal and Baby Benson was moving all around the entire time and heart rate was good the entire time. The nurse even told me I had a few contractions while I was there which I had NO idea I was having. They told me that I absolutely could not return to work and that I needed to rest as much as possible. She did check me and told me that Baby B's head was way down and that I was very close to dilation but still not quite. I will go back on Tuesday for a check up and they want to do another ultra sound since I am still measuring on the small side. Hopefully all will be well until Baby Benson's arrival.
