A few past pics from November

We've had so much going on since Thanksgiving that I never posted any of our November happenings. Here are a few of my favorite pics from November! Paisley in her zebra dress!

Me-Maw and Paw-Paw gave all the grandchildren "Elf on the Shelf" so Aunt Brooks reads the story that tells about "Elf on the Shelf"

Paisley on Thanksgiving day!

Me-Maw's birthday was on Thanksgiving Day this year...November 25! Here's Paisley checking out part of her gift!

We put up our Christmas tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving! Here's Paisley putting on an ornament!

I was decorating the tree and turned around and looked and Paisley had layed down in the floor and fell right asleep! Putting up the tree is hard work!

Checking out the ornaments when she awakes! She is so amazed at all the lights this year! She is going to be loads of fun Christmas Day!

Ho Ho Ho!

Thursday a week ago we (Kevin, myself, Paisley, Whitney, Tucker, & Reed) visited the Legendary Santa in Richmond at the Children's Museum of Richmond. This was a tradition for my sister and I growing up so we want it to be the same for our kids. The only difference is that Santa was at Miller & Rhodes when we were coming up and now he has a permanent home at the Children's Museum. Paisley is not quite sure about Santa this year and Reed is not fond of him either. Tucker on the other hand thinks he's great! We only had about a 5 minute wait...now when Whit and I were growing up we waited HOURS to see the REAL Santa! We had a FUN and BUSY day as we left home at 8 AM and didn't return until 8 PM! These 1st 2 pics were snapped by the photographer at the Children's Museum...they happened to get Paisley before she burst into tears! Reed on the other hand...they weren't fast enough!

Waiting patiently!

The beautiful Snow Queen!

Paisley with the worried look!

Tucker and Reed!

Tucker telling Santa that he wants a drum set now that Reed isn't screaming in his ear!

Paisley thought it was great that Santa was talking to Tucker instead of her!

Whitney and Reed listening to Tucker talk to Santa!

Much fun at the museum after talking to Santa! Paisley loved the lights!

There's Santa!

Tucker posing!

Tucker in the post office!

Tucker and Paisley playing the houses in different countries that were set up!

Sweet Reed!

Tucker, where are you???

Reading!

Just before leaving...posing as a face of a snow man!

Happy 1st Birthday to my nephew REED!

Today my sweet nephew, Reed, turns 1! Once again I say..."where does the time go"? We had his birthday party this past Saturday. At first he didn't know what was going on BUT he fell in there shortly after things got going! All the kiddo's had a blast! I will try to share a few more pics later. Tonight we are celebrating at my Mom and David's with our normal Wednesday night Thanksgiving Dinner as well as Reed's birthday and Mom's birthday. Mom's birthday is on Thanksgiving Day this year! Happy Birthday Reed and Mom! And why am I in front of all these people!
Reed is almost walking, not quite but it definitely won't be long!

Enjoying his cake! And boy did he enjoy it!

Halloween Weekend

On Friday I wasn't sure how our weekend would be since Paisley had the reaction on Wednesday to the Amoxicillin she was on BUT when I arrived to pick her up after work at Me-Maw's you really couldn't tell that she had even had a rash at all (unless you knew she did) and she was acting fine! So our Halloween weekend began! We got the kiddo's dresses and headed to downtown Franklin to trick or treat at the businesses. We've been doing this for a couple of years now since Tucker's 2nd Halloween I believe! It's always crowded but it's nice to be able to trust who you are getting candy from and it's during daylight hours. That night we didn't get much sleep b/c she started with itching feet...so we saw every hour on the hour! I made a call to the pediatrician Saturday morning to see what I could do. She said to try and stick it out b/c we really didn't want to put her on steroids. So we made a trip to the drugstore to get hydrocortisone cream and Claritin to see if that would help. On Saturday evening Paisley seemed fine so we got the kiddo's dressed again and went to the Sedley Firehouse to the annual Halloween Party there. Miss P was good but became very tired before the judging contest since she wouldn't nap for me Saturday afternoon. We left the firehouse and took Tucker to a local neighborhood to trick or treat at a few houses. That was cut short b/c Paisley had an itching attack so we hurried home so that we could put cream on her feet. She slept for a few hours before awaking with another attack. On Sunday (Halloween Day), we went to church and then headed to a birthday party and then out to eat with the family. Paisley seemed fine all day Sunday until Sunday night when she awoke out of a dead sleep itching! So of course I called the pediatrician back on Monday morning...she still wanted to try and stick it out. So things got better during the week with only one attack at night time. However they lasted from one to two hours! On Wednesday the pediatrician suggested doing Claritin in the morning and Benadryl before bed time. This seems to be working. She also told me that a lot of times when a reaction happens that it takes about 2 weeks for antihistamine levels to get back to normal. She has had no itching since Wednesday night so hopefully we are on the mend. Sorry for the rambling...now to the pics below of our busy weekend! OH and not sure if you all saw our cousin bunch in the Tidewater News last week...they were all characters from "The Wizard of Oz" as you'll see below. There pic is on Facebook on my page if any of you are on Facebook. Getting ready for the candy in Franklin!

Tucker, the Tin Man!

Paisley as "Dorothy"

Reed as the "Lion"

Winston as the "Scarecrow"

REady to go again for more candy!

Paw-Paw with Claire as Glenda the good witch and Paisley

The Great Pumpkin visited Paisley. Paisley goes crazy over scarecrows in the store so she was surprised with one and a few other favorites...bracelets and Minnie Mouse pj's.

All dressed up in her pumpkin dress for church. As for the serious look...she fell asleep as soon as we got to church.

"Boo" she says!

Showing off her bracelet!

Posing by the mums!
